How does the To The Trade discount work?

We grant To The Trade membership and discount to interior designers, architects, set designers or stagers, home developers and professionals in the hospitality and food and beverage industries.

We offer the following tiered discount levels:

  • 10% OFF with no minimum purchase
  • GOLD LEVEL 15% OFF with $10,000 in cumulative purchases in a 12-month period
  • PLATINUM LEVEL 20% OFF with $20,000 in cumulative purchases in a 12-month period

Members receive the above discounts at Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, PBTeen, Williams Sonoma (kitchen products) and Mark and Graham. In addition, all members receive 25% off at Williams Sonoma Home, as well as, 20% off lighting and 10% off house parts and furnishings from Rejuvenation.

How do I apply for membership?

Apply online here, in-store or contact a dedicated Trade representative at 1.888.837.4888. Membership is contingent upon receipt of appropriate credentials (listed below) and a completed application. Once we have processed your application, you'll receive a confirmation email that will grant you access to all benefit programs until your membership card arrives in the mail within four weeks. Use of your membership card is subject at all times to the program's Terms & Conditions.

Appropriate Application Credentials:

  • Valid membership to a major design organization (e.g. ASID, IIDA, AIA, NKBA, IDC)
  • Business or Resale License—Signed resale certificates are required for each state where you seek tax exemption (U.S. only)
  • Business card with your design profession
  • Interior Design Certification (e.g. NCIDQ, CCIDC)

We reserve the right to make all membership determinations at our sole discretion. Each professional must individually apply for membership by submitting their individual qualifications to traderegistration@wsgc.com.

How do I qualify for gold or platinum status membership?

Apply to become a member of Williams Sonoma, Inc. To The Trade. Always use your membership card when making purchases. Gold- and Platinum-level membership is awarded after you or your company's net purchases across Williams Sonoma, Inc. brands reach $10,000 and $20,000 respectively in a 12-month period.

Membership status is reviewed at the beginning of each month. If you or your company qualifies for an upgrade based on previous 12-month purchases, you will automatically receive, via email, a temporary membership card reflecting your new membership status. Your new permanent membership card will arrive in the mail within the following 4-6 weeks.

How do I place an order?

You can purchase online by logging in with your Trade member ID via http://www.wsitothetrade.com/shop or at any of our retail locations.

Orders and quote requests can be sent via fax to 1.702.360.7167 or email to tradeorders@wsgc.com. Orders may take up to 48 hours to process, and quotes may take up to three to five business days.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No minimum quantity is necessary for you to place your order.

What are my shipping options? Is White Glove Delivery available?

Are fabric and material samples available?

We offer complimentary fabric swatches from our Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, west elm and Williams Sonoma Home brands. You can also request wood and rug swatches for a fee; a refund will be issued if swatches are returned within 30 days. Rug samples are available for checkout at select Williams Sonoma store locations.

To order, please call 1.888.837.4888. You may also place your request online at the brands' websites. Processing and delivery may take up to 3 weeks.

What is the return policy?

Within 30 days of receiving your order, we will gladly issue a refund for any product with which you're not fully satisfied. After 30 days, we'll replace or refund your purchase against manufacturer's defects ONLY.

Returns are not allowed on any monogrammed, personalized, special-order items, custom-upholstered furniture or on items damaged through normal wear and tear. Also, note that items costing a price ending in $0.99 or $0.97 are non-returnable. Mattress returns are subject to a $200 return shipping fee. Does west elm Style + Service programming apply?

Our Style + Service team is here to help, but our standard pricing tiers to do not apply to registered To The Trade members. Instead, we'll work with you to tailor our services to your particular project needs. Our Installation Services fees do apply, and we can help coordinate the service you're looking for—from mounting a TV to wall-painting.
