Jean-Michel Frank, the famed French master of luxurious minimalism, challenged a class of design students to devise a pure, simple table that would retain its integrity regardless of finish. The initial design was called the T-Square Table and was distinguished by clean lines and square legs the same thickness as its top – an exacting equation that's endured for over 80 years.
