A Violinist's Small Space In Portland

Location:

1-Br Apt. in Portland, Oregon

The Team:

Shelby Towell, Designer

Michelle Gonzales, Installer

Client:

Nelly Kovalev, violinist for
the Oregon Symphony

The Challenge:

Small space! That means making every piece
count in her 580–square–foot apartment.

The Solution:

Zoning is key. Rounded pieces were added for easy navigating in compact quarters as well as a gallery wall of mirrors to enlarge the space + reflect light.

How It Came Together

Nelly has a small
space. But she
didn't want to
miss out on style."

the living room for eating/working
and relaxing/entertaining.
