Red Home Decor
Accordion Vase, Small (6")
In the northern province of Pampanga in the Philippines, Santo Tomas is known for its ceramics. Second- and third-generation potters continue to make pieces like our Accordion Vases by hand, giving modern form to traditional craft. Using red clay mined on the island, artisans hand-throw each piece on the potter’s wheel, then cut and carve grooves into the surface, giving the accordion shapes added dimension. Each vase is fired, glazed and finished by hand. Earthenware. Hand-thrown, carved and glazed. Watertight. Sold individually. Made in the Philippines.
