SMALL SPACE

Q: We have a small apartment, but we’d still love to stretch out on a comfy sectional. Is there a small-scaled one that will work for us?

A: Meet Eddy, our reversible sectional. Eddy comes in 2 sizes to fit almost any space, and the chaise can switch to either side, making it easier to fit into tight spaces.

Q: Do you have leather sofas that are designed for small spaces?

A: Small-scale doesn’t mean skimping on quality. We offer top-grain, aniline-dyed leather loveseats, as well as streamlined styles like Axel. A single seat cushion helps you fit in more people, too.

Q: I want to be able to host friends overnight in my small one-bedroom apartment. Any suggestions?

A: Our Henry Twin Sleeper takes up just 61” but offers guests a comfortable pocket-coil mattress. If room to pull out a sleeper is the issue, try our comfy futon sofas, like Clara.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY

Q: We need a big, comfy sectional that can stand up to our teenage kids + their friends on movie nights.

A: Lots of our sectionals fit that bill, but take a look at Shelter, with a tall back + arms, loose cushions and a roomy design that can hold 5-6 kids. It’s stocked in a linen weave and available made to order in our Performance Washed Canvas. Need even more room? Try our “build your own” and extra-deep options on sectionals such as Harmony, and create a large, U-shaped conversation pit.

Q: We often host kids + family for sleepovers. What’s comfy for both sitting + sleeping?

A: Our Urban Queen Sleeper Sofa (as well as our Paidge, Bliss and Shelter Sleeper Sofas) has deep, soft cushions and a super comfortable, gel-wrapped mattress.

Q: Are leather sofas family-friendly?

A: Yes! Leather is the most durable upholstery, lasting decades if it’s well cared for. It stands up to lots of wear and incorporates nicks and scratches into its natural patina. Just avoid it if you have pets with sharp claws who might tear it.

Q: What’s your most durable, family-friendly fabric for sofas?

A: Our new Performance Washed Canvas, on our Haven Sofa + Sectional, is designed to repel liquids + oils to resist staining, and is easy to clean when spills do happen. It’s also extra durable to handle wear + tear. Our fabrics that are hardest-wearing (tested to withstand 40,000 rubs) are: Performance Velvet, Twill, Basket Slub, Chenille Tweed, Heathered Crosshatch, Luster Velvet and Retro Weave.

STYLE-SAVVY

Q: My sofa will be floating in the room. What looks good from any angle?

A: Monroe is a great match for you. Its slender shelter style, bolster pillows + tapered wood legs not only look good from any vantage point, they make it plenty comfy, too.

Q: I’d like to step out beyond neutrals without going overboard. Is there a colored sofa I won’t get tired of?

A: One suggestion for a sofa that won’t be just a passing flirtation is Drake in Dark Horseradish Twill. This sunny shade brightens up a room but also works as a neutral, mixing well with other colors. Another option is to go for a classic hue like blue, from navy to royal, like Paidge or our new Bradford Sofa.

Q: I’m looking for a leather sofa that doesn’t look like it belongs in a man cave. Any ideas?

A: Our Brooklyn Leather Sofa has sleek lines and wooden boomerang legs that boost its style quotient. Check out Sloane, with its elegant curved arms, as well.

Q: What’s your best-seller that will last for the long haul?

A: Most of our sofas have timeless silhouettes that won’t go out of style. One of our longest-running hits is the Urban Sofa + Sectional. Its straightforward, clean-lined style is comfortable and versatile, and it comes with lots of options, from a sleep sofa to a storage chaise. It’s easy to change up the look with pillows and throws.

SMART SECTIONALS

Q: We want a sectional that’s not too bulky, and chic enough to be living-room-worthy. What do you advise?

A: Our Andes Sectional has a sophisticated silhouette with sleek cast-metal legs and comes stocked in plush velvet. The movable ottoman/chaise gives it lots of versatility, too.

Q: I love to nap on the sofa: What’s your most comfortable sectional?

A: While all our sectionals are comfortable, with differing levels of firmness, the Harmony, with its down-filled cushions + extra lumbar pillows, is our favorite for pure comfort.

Q: Which sectional has the most bells + whistles and offers the most versatility?

A: Many of our sectionals can be configured in multiple ways (look for “build your own” options), but the perk-filled Enzo is designed to keep everyone happy, with options for recliners, headrests, built-in storage and even a sleeper.
