Our TRADE program is geared towards those in the design/build industry working on single-residential projects. Note that registered TRADE members can also use their discount on products from our contract assortment.

The Trade Discount cannot be combined with any other offer or the purchase of items from Outlet, gift cards, gift wrap, sales tax or for any products or services excluded per our program Terms & Conditions. To discuss an upcoming project or request a quote, please contact your Account Executive or email our Contract support team at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include relevant project details, along with item numbers and needed qty and our team will issue a quote with product pricing, estimated sales tax and freight.
To place an order for a project with an existing quote, please follow instructions included with your quote to provide payment and place your order. For orders placed through our Contract support team - we can accept payment by wire/ach, business check, or credit card.
You can shop online with your discount any time by logging in with your membership ID. Your discount is calculated at checkout once your billing and shipping information has been entered. Please note we can accept payment for online orders by credit card or PayPal.
To purchase items in-store with your member discount, bring your membership card and valid photo ID to any of our store locations. Present your membership card* (either the card you received in the mail, or the digital card included in the Membership Welcome email) to the store associate at checkout and your discount will be applied at the end of the checkout process.
*Please note your ID must match the name on your membership card to receive the discount in-store.
There is no minimum quantity to shop our retail or contract product assortment. For custom product, bulk orders or COM, minimums may apply depending on the specific product or product category. To discuss project needs or bulk order inquiries, please contact your Account Executive or email ContractSales@wsgc.com.
The average lead times for bulk/production orders across product categories is 18-22 weeks if items are made overseas, and 10-12 weeks if items are made domestically. Lead times for bulk/production orders can vary slightly based on product type and needed quantity.
To discuss bulk orders or custom-developed product, please reach out to your Account Executive who will partner with our production team to provide pricing and lead time details once we have reviewed your project needs. If you are working on a tight deadline we have many in stock products that are suitable for Contract use which can be viewed here.

*This term is generally used to describe the type of furniture and textiles needed for use in public areas such as hospitality venues or commercial spaces. These products feature upgraded testing protocols from our residential standards, and are designed to withstand higher-traffic environments with increased levels of wear. Please visit our Contract page or reach out to your Account Executive if you have additional questions on our Contract product assortment.
west elm's Contract testing standards include all required regulatory standards for residential use with additional tests specific to higher levels of use, abuse, and durability, pulled from select ANSI and BIFMA testing standards.
*Business & Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA) develops all industry and voluntary standards for the institutional furniture industry in conjunction with ANSI and is conducted in outside testing facilities.
Our upholstered furniture collections meet the flammability requirements of the State of California's Technical Bulletin 117 (TB 117 or CA 117). If your project is in an area where additional requirements need to be met (such as TB133 or NFPA260), please contact your Account Executive or ContractSales@wsgc.com to discuss your specific project needs. Please note our drapery is not fire-rated for commercial use and would need to be treated by a 3rd party.
Tax exempt shopping is available for orders shipping to the US with valid state-issued tax exempt documentation. For orders shipping offshore please note sales tax is collected at the time of order placement and refunded once a BOL or Proof of Export is provided.
At this time we do not rent or loan furniture or decorative accessories, but you can purchase items your Trade & Contract Discount.
