At first glance, the Halsey Collection will likely remind you of a chic cafe where you can charge up in the morning to prepare for the day ahead, or unwind and lounge away the stress of the day before heading home. Indeed, the Halsey Collection upholstered seating furniture combines modern minimalist inspirations with the plush and sink-right-in comfort of contemporary pieces, resulting in a stylish and inviting centerpiece for your living space. Like other collections we have at west elm, the Halsey Collection stands out on its own with its square profile and extra-deep seating. It has a low back frame with loose, reversible back cushions where you can lean back comfortably. Adding more to your comfort while lounging are flanged-seam lumbar pillows to support your lower back.
With its extra-deep seating, the sofa in the Halsey Collection does a good job in adding an illusion of more space if you have a limited living room area. Having no arms, this couch does not restrict your movements, which adds a more relaxed atmosphere for lounging and entertaining guests. If you still want to use the sofas in the collection but have a larger floor area, adding one or two ottomans from the same collection will fill up more floor space in your living room. Such combinations of seating furniture give you a variety of possible living room layouts that allows you to switch up whenever you feel like giving the room a new look.

There are a few simple terminologies to keep in mind when purchasing a sectional and the most common and important of which is right- and left-arm sofa. This refers to the location of the arm if you are facing the sofa. Sectionals also come in several configurations and this includes L-shaped, U-shaped and symmetrical. While the Halsey Collection does not have a chaise piece, the ottoman doubles as such, which is a fine feature that still allows you a section where you can stretch your legs out and relax. Apart from functioning just like a chaise, the ottoman can also serve your coffee table or as an accent piece. In the Halsey Collectionʼs build-your-own-sectional offerings, the pieces available are the left and right are sofas, the armless sofas, the ottomans and the corner piece.
