tour the whole house
When actor Zosia Mamet and her husband, actor/producer Evan Jonigkeit, found this quiet retreat in Hudson Valley, New York, they knew it was the one when they walked in.

After a year long renovation (!!), the end result is an absurdly cozy + inviting home filled with West Elm designs. Keep scrolling to see one makeover that gives a new spin on modern country.

the fireplace room

To complement and perk up the rustic architecture (aka that dreamy stone fireplace), they went with these velvet blue chairs. Swivel chairs around a fire? Yes, please.

It was a top priority to bring more light into this room. Cut to new windows and big sliding doors. The thoughtful placement of the two roomy sofas, velvet chairs and soothing color palette make this a great gathering spot for friends and family.

the master bedroom

The large wood window frames are beautifully offset by the minimal metal bed, watercolor hues and richly grained storage.

the media room

Previously the garage (yes, the garage), they transformed it into a movie-watching space complete with a sprawling sectional perfect for screeners and naps. They incorporated pops of personality with the retro wallpaper and unique art.

The Media Room

We love how they wallpapered just one wall to anchor the room—the perfect backdrop for their personal art collection.

the guest rooms

These warm and welcoming mid-century guest rooms are complete with layers of white bedding and accented with soft rugs. Extra charm points for the wall covered in personal photos of friends and family.

The Guest Room

“We wanted a house that felt like you could just come in and plop wherever. We just wanted everyone who came to visit to feel welcome and comfortable.” - Zosia

the dining room

The couple loves to entertain, so this light-filled room gets plenty of use. To enhance the traditional log cabin spirit, they went with our iconic Emmerson® Dining Table, Shaker-inspired chairs and threw a mid-century accent into the mix.

the kitchen

A top renovation priority since the kitchen is the heart of the home, especially when company's over and everyone is hanging out at the large island + bar stools.
