west elm is committed to preserving the environment and making socially and economically sensitive decisions. Since 2007, we have partnered with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) to hold us accountable for the materials we choose to produce our furniture and other items made with wood and wood products. Under these guidelines, not only is the wood we source from responsibly managed forests, but complying with FSC standards also insures respect for the rights of indigenous peoples, conservation of biological diversity and support for local communities. What began a decade ago with the decision to print our catalogs with only FSC-certified paper has now blossomed into a commitment to build more of our furniture with FSC-certified wood and veneers. In particular, each of our outdoor furniture collections are now made with FSC-certified products.

Browse our Portside Collection, especially if you are looking for a rustic tone to complete your outdoor space. The solid wood construction of this outdoor certified furniture is purposefully wire-brushed for a distressed look. It has a weathered gray finish reminiscent of a seaside setting. Choose a dining table for six – or an expandable table for up to 10 – and add accompanying benches or chairs for an outdoor picnic on your patio or deck. The Portside Collection’s sectional furniture can be configured to your desires, perhaps comprised of just a sofa, or combined with a daybed, chairs and matching tables for a complete set. Comfortable cushions are made of yarn-dyed weather-resistant fabric in a matching gray hue. To complete the collection is a three-position lounger, perfect for the poolside or relaxing in the yard, fitted with gray Textilene® fabric for heat resistance and durability.

For a driftwood appearance in brown tones, we offer certified patio furniture from our Jardin Collection. The rugged look of this outdoor furniture is made with FSC-certified tropical mix hardwood that is as weather resistant as it is beautiful. For your porch, stage a Jardin bench that comfortably seats three on a wood-planked top or place several ladder-back chairs on your patio. Each can be fitted with an accompanying weather-resistant cushion for extra comfort. The Jardin Collection also offers a folding bistro table for an intimate brunch for two in the mid-afternoon shade as well as sectional pieces to outfit your deck for comfortable outdoor seating.

As its name implies, this outdoor furniture includes tabletops adorned with hand-placed ceramic tiles in various colors and patterns, inlaid onto FSC-certified wood. Our Mosaic bistro tables have asymmetric stripes, isometric designs and spider web patterns to name a few. Choose a coffee table or side table as well. The table bases in the Mosaic Collection are made of the same varieties of woods in our other outdoor furniture collections for you to mix and match as you please.

Rounding out our offerings for certified outdoor furniture is the Tillary® Collection, offering you a more modern look for your outdoor spaces. Thick, plush cushions in stark white sit on a chocolate wood base for a sofa or sectional that provides comfortable seating for your family and friends on warm summer evenings and crisp autumn afternoons. If you prefer gray or tan for your seat covers, we offer cushion covers especially suited for the Tillary® Collection. As with all of our outdoor furniture, the materials are always weather resistant for long-lasting use.
