How does the west elm CONTRACT program differ from the TO THE TRADE program?

Our CONTRACT program is intended for hospitality projects, commercial spaces, multi-residential developments and more—anything outside of a single–residential home. Our TO THE TRADE program is geared towards those in the design/build industry working on single-residential projects. Note that registered TO THE TRADE members can also use their discount on products from our contract assortment.

How do I request a quote?

How do I place an order?

Please email wecontract@wsgc.com. If shopping from our in-line contract-approved assortment, you can place your order directly here.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

There is no minimum quantity to shop our contract product assortment online. For custom products or COM, some minimums may apply. To discuss specific project needs or large bulk orders, please contact your Business Sales Account Executive or email wecontract@wsgc.com.

What is the lead time?

Lead time for an order can vary based on the product type and quantity. If you are working on a tight deadline we have many products suitable for contract use in stock and ready to ship. For made-to-order and custom developed product, our team can provide more information around expected lead time on a quote. What are my shipping options? Is White Glove Delivery available?

What is contract quality?

Contract quality is the term generally used to describe the type of furniture + textiles needed for use in public spaces including hospitality venues and commercial spaces. Contract furniture + textiles are designed to withstand greater impacts and wear. Each of our products offered for Contract feature upgraded testing demands from our traditional residential standards.

WSI Contract testing standards include all of our regulatory residential standards with an increased level of use, abuse, and reliability testing pulled from select test from the ANSI/BIFMA testing protocols.

What is your fabric offering?

We have a range of fabric options to support your projects. To view our in-line contract-grade fabric options that meet or exceed 30,000 double rub counts. View them here. Additionally, we have partnered with DESIGNTEX to curate a collection of commercially rated fabrics for our contract upholstery frames. What is your fire rating?

Our upholstery items are rated TB117. If your project is in an area where other requirements need to be met (such as TB133 in Boston), please contact your Business Sales Account Executive or wecontract@wsgc.com to discuss your specific project needs.

What is the difference between WSI Contract Testing and BIFMA?

WSI Contract testing standards include all of our regulatory residential standards with an increased level of use, abuse, and reliability testing pulled from select test from the ANSI/BIFMA testing protocols.

BIFMA testing (Business & Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association) develops all industry and voluntary standards for the institutional furniture industry in conjunction with ANSI and is conducted in outside testing facilities.
