Siblings Maria and Santiago named Chechen Wood Design after the Chechén tree, which lives to be more than 100 years old. Their design strategy is just as lasting—breathing new life into furniture workshop offcuts that are too small to use for furniture but just the right size for handmade wooden dishes and tabletop accessories.
