Standard Shipping And Processing
Our shipping and processing charges are intended to compensate our company for processing your order, handling and packing the products you purchase, delivering them to you, related overhead and other items.
Most purchases, except those requiring In–Home Delivery (see below for details) are shipped from our Distribution Center by UPS, to arrive in your home within 1 — 2 weeks of order receipt. In the event of a delay, we will notify you by email or mail. Items ordered together may not arrive in the same box.
Items delivered to U.S. Territories are shipped via Parcel Post. We use Parcel Post to ship to a PO Box, APO or PO address. Some heavy or oversized items cannot be shipped outside the 48 contiguous states. Please call our Customer Service department at 1.888.922.4119 with questions. We now ship to over 75 countries — please see International Orders for more details.

Standard Delivery And Processing Surcharges ($*)
Because furniture, rugs and other large items are bulky, heavy and may have limited availability, these items have a delivery and processing surcharge. This charge is listed in parentheses ($) after the item price and is in addition to the standard shipping and processing charges listed above.
Rush Delivery And Processing
If you need something in a rush, we can arrange for faster delivery for an extra charge of $15 per address.
(If we receive your order by 12 noon PST Monday through Thursday, you'll receive your purchase within three business days; orders placed Friday through Sunday by 12 noon PST will arrive on the following Wednesday.) Please note that the charge for rush delivery is in addition to standard Shipping and Processing Charges, listed above. This rush service is not available for some oversized items, out of stock items, for items shipped directly from the manufacturer or items shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.
In-Home Delivery
Items with the symbol are shipped via ground service, our delivery service will call to schedule an appointment within a 4-hour window. Delivery is by appointment - Monday to Saturday - depending on area.
Items are delivered to your room of choice. We will unpack and inspect them, set them up, and remove all packaging. Most complete beds are delivered via our standard carrier; select beds are delivered via home-delivery service. We're happy to place headboards, in their original packaging, in any room you desire, but we are not able to unpack or inspect them, or attach them to existing bed frames. Please note that the installation of appliances and other electronic equipment is not included. Available in the 48 contiguous states only.
Back Orders
We will ship backordered items as soon as they are back in stock. In the event of a delay, we will notify you by mail or email.
Prices + Sales Tax
Sales tax on the merchandise total is charged for items shipped to the following states and US territories: AL*, AR*, AZ, CA*, CO*, CT*, DC*, FL*, GA*, HI*, IA, ID, IL*, IN*, KS*, KY*, LA*, MA, MD*, ME*, MI*, MN*, MO*, MS*, NC*, ND*, NE*, NJ*, NM*, NV*, NY*, OH*, OK, PA*, RI*, SC*, SD*, TN*, TX*, UT, VA*, VT*, WA*, WI*, WV*, WY and Puerto Rico*. Sales tax is also charged on all shipping, delivery and processing charges for states with an asterisk. Except as otherwise noted, all sales are made by Williams-Sonoma DTC, Inc., and the local sales tax for delivery destination is also charged. In Canada and Puerto Rico, retail prices may vary from those listed in our catalog and on our website. All sales shipped to Texas locations are made by Williams-Sonoma DTC Texas, Inc., and the sales tax is based on the location where the order was received. Sales tax for items shipped to Illinois is based on the location of final order acceptance. Orders shipped to California locations are F.O.B. destination point which means title passes in California.
