Behind the Scenes: Tour Our Makers Studio

In this installment of "west elm On Location," our Finish Design Master John "J.D." Draughn takes you on a tour of our Makers Studio in Industry City, Brooklyn.
We opened our Makers Studio in April 2015. Just a quick cab ride from our Dumbo headquarters, it's housed in the same building as our photo studio and serves as a creative hub for our designers across all product categories—from ceramics and lighting to furniture and rugs. They use the studio to weave textiles, craft ceramics, build prototypes, sketch + paint and more.
